In this webinar we will cover...
Our experienced writing consultants, Bob Finegan, John Taylor-Baranik, and Patricia Noonan, will discuss their approaches to crafting successful essays. They will provide tips on how to use narrative techniques to capture the attention of admissions officers and guide students through the various stages of essay development, from brainstorming to final editing.

Presenters:
Bob Finegan, a published author, holds a B.A. in English and History from the University of Delaware and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been a professor of composition and literature at Drexel University since 1993 and has taught workshops at various universities. He is also a writing consultant at the Wharton School.
​
John Taylor-Baranik, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, holds a B.A. in English Literature and an M.S. in Secondary English Education from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently teaching humanities courses at Carver High School in the Philadelphia School District and prides himself on getting to know each student as an individual and taking a strengths-based approach to tutoring. John is a two time recipient of the Navy Achievement Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal and USN Letter of Commendation.
Patricia Noonan, the final webinar presenter, was a presidential scholar and graduated summa cum laude, she holds a B.A. in Theater Arts and English from Boston College and has been working with students on their writing at the high school and collegiate level for over a decade. She is a Teaching Artist in the public school system and has developed several successful writing workshops.
